The benefits conveyed by music education can be grouped in four categories:
•Success in society
•Success in school and learning
•Success in developing intelligence
•Success in life

Early musical training helps develop brain areas involved in language and reasoning. It is thought that brain development continues for many years after birth. Recent studies have clearly indicated that musical training physically develops the part of the left side of the brain known to be involved with processing language, and can actually wire the brain's circuits in specific ways. Linking familiar songs to new information can also help imprint information on young minds.

HELPING YOUR CHILD SUCCEED!
1. Provide a steady consistant lessons schedule of at least one or two lessons per week.
2. Provide a quality instrument for your child to practice on.
3. Provide a quiet, private place for your child to practice.
4. Provide a consistent practice schedule of at least 20 minutes each day.
5. Provide constant praise and interest in your childs progress.
6. Provide an incentive rewards program for your child as they log in their practice time.
7. Make sure you ask your child to play for you frequently or better yet, why don't you learn an instrument too and play along with your child!
If you apply the above things to the everyday world of your child, I gaurantee you will give them the foundations of that incredible phenomena called "The Mozart Effect".

Music programs are not extras!
Instrumental and vocal music classes are often referred to as "extracurricular" classes. Music is anything but
"extracurricular". Music classes offer many benefits which make them very indispensable. Performance programs enhance a
student's sense of self esteem as well as their social skills. Students become a part of a positive group and organization.
Not only do students profit socially from music programs, but they also gain academically.
Several studies have confirmed that music directly enhances learning through increased spatial development.
Math and reading are improved by learning rhythms and decoding notes and symbols. So there appears to be cross disciplinary learning in music.
